Ana Ciontea is a well known theatre and film actress. Born in Hunedoara, she is a graduate of The National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale". She worked as an actress in Romania and also in France, where she became a teacher at the "Académie de l'Union Theatre Limoges".
She made her film debut in 1983 with role Catarina in the drama Return from Hell directed by Nicolae Margineanu. Her filmography includes The Forest Woman directed by Nicolae Margineanu, Everyday God Kisses Us on the Mouth directed by Sinisa Dragin, Ciocirlia directed by Constantin Dicu and also short films and television.
She is a prolific stage actress and has received many domestic awards in Romania for her work on stage.
